Travelling with pets

Dobar Dan,

When all plans changed; I started to search for how to take my loves / pets with me to Montenegro. Trust me; On internet you can find thousands of wrong information! The biggest problem is; even they do not accept / correct the mistake!

After wasting time on internet; I got in touch with the related government office; Republic of Turkey Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Based on their advise also got in touch with Montenegro Department of Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs.

All of them were quite helpful also have the right information.

If you have a four legged friend/child in your life and want to bring with you to Montenegro;  the law is  saying;

"Montenegro is in force Ordinance on the conditions for the non-commercial movement of pet animals ( "Off. Gazette of Montenegro", No. 42/2016), which provides that the pets (cats and dogs) can noncommercial move if:

were identified in the prescribed manner;

are accompanied by a passport;

vaccinated against rabies;

are older than 12 weeks on the day of vaccination;

the 21 days since the first vaccination the case of vaccination against rabies;

is made the titration of antibodies against rabies 30 days after the vaccination, and at least three months prior to the non-commercial movements;

as when entering or exiting Montenegro treated against Echinococcus multilocularis in the prescribed manner;

are accompanied by a veterinary certificate of health.

Specifically, upon entry into Montenegro animal should be accompanied by a Certificate of Animal Health for the non-commercial movement of dogs, cats and fur animals in Montenegro from the territory of a Member State or from a third country, which we have enclosed herewith.

This certificate complies with the model certificate provided for in Regulation (EU) No 577/2013."

I have the empty certificate which has to be filled by the authorities of the departure country but could not add here. You can ask to the authorities to send to you or send an e-mail to me; zelcestan@gmail.com I love to share with you. 

Tonight a family will come to take the wardrobe hence I put almost everything into the luggage and now sweet hearts keep watch on luggage as of to be sure mom will not forget them at last trip from Turkey to Montenegro.
