Merry Christmas Montenegro

Good afternoon still raining Montenegro,

As I shared before, a big part of the Montenegro population is Orthodox and due to usage if different calendar today is Christmas here.

They have quite interesting celebrations for Christmas such as the man of the house goes and cut oak branch, they do not cook/eat dairy and meat today, first guest of the house needs to be man etc.

For traditional rules are written on a local blog;

When I learn something new, feel my self quite uneducated and has no knowledge. I know; information is an ocean and mostly we have a few drops in our heads but still want to know more than today; keep going learning.

As I wrote before, rakija is the traditional alcohol of Montenegro. Mostly they are making from grape and distillers as boiling/cooking. You fill the fruits in a pressure tank and have a strong fire under the tank. A copper pipe goes to another tank which is full of cold water. And from the exit/tap of the second tank is rakija.
When I saw the advertise of the local producers for different rakija; could not stop myself. Apple, plum, pears and quince rakija. If you can zoom to the photo you can see that each one has different alcohol percentage and year of production.

If you wish to place order definetely I advise to buy them all, if not try quince (dunja) which is my favourite one.

Thank God, the rain is getting slower which effects to the "growing" river behind of the house. All these areas were full of water and today possible to see the ground. Meteorology is saying that starting from the middle of the month snow will start for here which means will be colder that today.

The rain was also effecting her and the entrance of her house was getting wet. I found this solution for now to avoid/reduce the rain (also keep dogs away from the box, they are pulling out her and the textile what I put inside to keep her warm). Later on will check that out to see what to do, how to do as a permanent solution.
