Statehood day of Montenegro

Good morning from a tired me,

At the end my arm is better after wasp sting. Still have some colour change on that area and even one of finger is like frozen, does not feel properly; hopefully will be OK soon.  

Today is the statehood day at Montenegro. As a big part of the people also I was mixing statehood fay and independence day (21st May). 

"Dan državnosti is a holiday that occurs every year on 13 July in Montenegro to commemorate the day in 1878 on which the Berlin Congress recognized Montenegro as the twenty-seventh independent state in the world." Says Wikipedia.

The map of southeastern Europe shows the borders of Montenegro, Romania and Serbia after the Berlin Congress which also the borders of these three countries today.

So; Srećan Dan Državnosti Crna Gora!

As wrote before, Danilovgrad is a small city placed on the mountain side of Montenegro on the both sides of Zeta River. The city has lots of amazing spots such as Ostrog Monastery which is accepted holly by different religions. Amazing untouched nature which makes the city an amazing hiking and camping spot (do not forget to stop by tourists information office to grab your maps), amazing local and international foods, amazing art performance such as sculptures. And much more...

In these days,  Umjetnička Kolonija Danilovgrad is hosting a paint exhibition. If you are passing nearby; strictly advise to stop by to visit the exhibition. If you have more time even take a walk along the river and enjoy with the serenity of nature. 

Due to statehood day holiday, today and tomorrow shops will be closed. If I do not have cat kids at home and mother cat with her kittens on the garden would go to mountains for hiking and camping. To be a "single mom" is not easy with that much babies. Please go and enjoy on behalf of me too if you can go.

I will enjoy with garden, jobs, cats and rakija on behalf of you too. 

PS: Mostly they make convoys on the roads and time to time they stop the traffic to use torches and fire works hence better to be careful and schedule your time accordingly to avoid any delay.
