Definition of wind

Good afternoon from a windy day,

Since yesterday we have such a strong wind all around the country. Time to time I dress on everything to go and check materials and even collect them from road or neighbours gardens. Even added more insulation to the doors; the current insulation could not stop the wind. 

Poseidon is one of my favourite web site to follow the weather. Also possible to check rain, wave and other weather conditions. As you see, it shows 5 bft for here and yes, we are by and between 5 and 6 today. 

Bft make no sense if you did not work at yachting sector, mostly we were using for sea trials to avoid any danger/problem. Here is the chart of bft in mph, kt and km. Time to time we cross to bft 6. Thank God the house is concrete but I am suspicious about roof and garden utensils...

So, why that much wind? Montenegro is a country surrounded with several mountains. Also the country has sea level and up to 2.000 meter high. Another point is temperature differences between different highs. When you combine all these conditions; winds between 1 to 7 bft is becoming normal. 

Until now had bft 6, 7 and up means find a string shelter and do not get out in not really needed. Of course this is not only for Montenegro; valid for whole world. Especially stay away from sea side. This much strong wind brings huge and quite strong waves and you can not endure/resist.

We
