Good Morning from rainy days,
As mentioned several times, some of the flowers are not for vases due to sustainability of nature. For me, dahlia is one of them.
During the blooming of the flowers, bees are fertilizing the flowers. Outside of the flower get closed when the process completed. With this way, also seeds get protected from bugs such as grasshoppers. That darker lines inside of the ring are seeds like on second photo.

As mentioned previously, learning is an endless journey by and between first breath to last breath. Last year I waited until they are dry on plants and then collected. Had approximately 20-30 seeds. This year collected the seed bags before rains and frost; and here you go. Had a lot seeds to share with friends and nature lovers.
It takes a bit time and needs patience to clean them each by each. And leftover leaves are going to organic compost tanks to be fertiliser for garden.
So, for sustainability of nature and also for future; please don't use dahlia as vase flower.
